Teaching and performing live music have always been intertwined throughout Hayden's life. As soon as he was capable, he began teaching music lessons. Since then, he's gone on to earn a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from Berklee College of Music, perform at jazz festivals around the world and teach hundreds of students, in both classroom and private lesson settings. 

He's taught masterclasses at the Panama Jazz Festival, college level Berklee core theory, ear training and ensemble classes at the Global Music Institute in New Delhi and worked as a classroom assistant at Humber College’s Community Music Program.
